Description

During the installation of TIBCO Statistica (or TIBCO Data Science - Workbench), the following messages may appear:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Red (x86) need to be installed

MS Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package appears to have failed

Cause:  There is a newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package (x86) already installed.

Resolution

Click the "Yes" button to proceed and complete the installation.  The newer version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package (x86) can be used without any issues.
