Resolution

Normally, the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database(ADB adapter) will close all the created connections when it stops. But sometimes there could be chances that the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database(ADB adapter) lost connections to the DB. 
For instance, the network issue may happen or TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database(ADB adapter) instance is not stopped correctly. In such cases, the adapter may be lost the control to the connections, and the inactive connections might be caused by this kind of issues.

From the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Database(ADB adapter) perspective, the adapter could not close the inactive sessions. It will need to close those inactive sessions manually from the DB side.
