Besides using the Web Manager, is there any other way to test connectivity between TDV and my LDAP server?
Resolution
You can use an LDAP data source to test connectivity between TDV and an LDAP server.
(1) Create an LDAP data source. You will need to enter the URL, Login, and password in the data source.
Example
URL : ldap://employeeserver:389/dc=emp,dc=hlp,dc=net
Login : dev\webusers
Password : allofus
(2) Introspect the data source. If you are able to introspect successfully, it means that the data source is able to log in to the LDAP server.
The screenshot below shows an LDAP data source. Running a query on one of the introspected tables (fileLinkTracing) validates that TDV is able to send queries to the LDAP server and get back results.
