Description

Description:
Solution to Web Player scheduled update error: "Failed to initialize the Scheduled Updates. System.InvalidOperationException: The required license for the user to access the program is missing."

Resolution

Scheduled Updates user account should be in the group Scheduled Updates Users and needs to have the minimum following licenses (usually set on the Scheduled Updates Users group) to be able to open analyses and their linked data. Refer to the attached image (Filename: Scheduled_Update_Users_License.jpg).

Licenses:
+ TIBCO Spotfire Consumer
     ++ TIBCO Spotfire Consumer
     ++ Extend updates of analysis files in TIBCO Spotfire Web Player
+ TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise Player
     ++ Open File
     ++ Open from Library
     ++ Open linked Data

In addition to the above licenses, there might be additional custom third party licenses needed to open the analysis files and their linked data. The account must also have access to read all data files in the library that is to be scheduled.
