Prerequisites:
Download the installer from TIBCO Download site. The SDMS installer for 13.5 can be located here : https://edelivery.tibco.com/storefront/view-component-download.ep?partNumber=01010803

Metadatabase details for SDMS - for this article, we are assuming we are installing to a new SDMS metadatabase

1. Unzip the downloaded zip file, right click on Setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator"

2. Select Install both SDMS Server and Client



3.  In the SDMS Product Key prompt, enter the Product Key that came with your Statistica purchase. Click Next.

4.  Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement"  and click Next.

5. If you want to change the folder SDMS is being installed to, select Custom and then Next. If the installation directory can be C:\Program Files(x86) \Statistica\SDMS\ then pick Typical and click Next.

6. If you chose "Custom" in Step 5 , change the Install directory by clicking on change (optional) . You may click Next to proceed with the install



7.  In the dialog that asks for the location of the client Licensing file, select the location of Statistica license on Statistica License Server. If the Statistica install had defaults, this would be : C:\Program Files (x86)\Statistica\FLEXlm on the Statistica license folder. Note that if you are installing on a server that is not the Statistica License server, you may need to share this directory from the Statistica License Server and access it as //Server Name\FlexLM.




8. Select "Create new SDMS database" for new installs. Select " Use existing SDMS database", if you are upgrading or reinstalling your SDMS installation and already have a meta database)



9. Select according to your database - SQL Server or Oracle and click Next. Enter your database credentials and click OK.



10. Click Install and wait for the installation to complete. Click Finish.

11. Installation is complete. You should now have 2 new applications named SDMS Administration (SDMS Server) and SDMS (SDMS Client) on the machine the install was performed on.  You can consider enabling SDMS integration from Statistica Enterprise after the installation by following details here : https://support.tibco.com/s/article/How-to-enable-version-configurations-with-Statistica-Enterprise
