Description

In Spotfire version 10.4, a new preference has been added which brings the possibility of enabling/disabling storage of on-demand data in an analysis.
Default value of the preference is set to True, allowing on-demand data to be stored in an analysis.
 

Issue/Introduction

Starting from Spotfire version 10.4 there is a new preference for allowing on-demand data to be stored/not stored in an analysis. Default value is set to True, i.e. on-demand data is allowed to be stored.

Resolution

To edit the preference, follow the steps below:
  1. Go to Tools -> Administration Manager -> tab Preferences
  2. Highlight group of choice to see preferences list
  3. Go to preference "DataOptimization" and highlight "DataOptimizationPreferences"
  4. Click button Edit
  5. In the new window, click "AllowSavingOnDemandData"
    1. To allow saving of on-demand data in the analysis, set the preference to True
    2. To disallow saving of on-demand data in the analysis, set the preference to False
