Description
MAS Service will not start on the MAS Server and the event Viewer in Control panel | Administrative tools and navigating to Application and Service logs | Statsoft have errors from MASMonitorservice of the following description :
Fatal error detected in the managing thread. Description: Cannot open database "STATISTICADB" requested by the login. The login failed. (ODBC RETCODE: -1; State: 37000, Native: 4060, Origin: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]) [CssSPC.cpp(1713)]. Error Code: 0x80041508. MASMonitorService will be terminated.

Resolution
Cause : This error indicates that the database login information in MAS configuration tool isn't accurate.
To resolve the error: 1. Launch MAS Configuration utility from Start Menu | Statistica x 2. Verify that the DSN information is accurate . Correct the DSNUID and DSNPWD and save the configuration (via File > Save...), if any changes are made.
3. Start the Monitoring and Alerting Server from Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services
