The Scribe Update Notifier warning message displays when logging onto a TIBCO Scribe® Insight server running OS Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2.
How can we disable the following Scribe Update Notifier message that displays every time a user logs onto the Scribe Server?

Scribe Update Notifier has stopped working



 

Remove the Scribe Update Notifier application from Windows Startup.

For servers prior to Windows Server 2012:  Open Task Manager and select the Startup tab. Disable the Scribe Update Notifier. 
 
For Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2:  Start-up applications are no longer accessible from the Start menu.  Install the Microsoft tool:  https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

With this tool you have the option to easily disable the Update service when set as startup application instead of having to approach the same using Power Shell scripts.

Note: The Update Service was deprecated in version 7.9.5 of  TIBCO Scribe® Insight.
