Description

On a Domain Controller, the Scribe Console Users Group (SCUG) is located in an Active Directory group and the TIBCO Scribe® Insight users must be added there.

Error: Communications test unsatisfactory, connection failed. Error on GetSiteInfo Error setting client. Permission denied Verify that your Windows user account is a member of the Scribe Console Users Group. Note: Changes to a Users Group requires a logout/login to apply changes.

Cause: On a Domain Controller, the Scribe Console Users Group (SCUG) is located in the Active Directory group not under Local Users And Groups

Resolution

Add TIBCO Scribe® Insight Users to the Scribe Console Users Group in the Active Directory Group
  1. Log in to the Domain Controller.
  2. Select Windows Icon (Start) > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.
  3. Create the Scribe Console Users Group (SCUG) folder if it does not exist or right-click on the SCUG and add the Scribe Users > New.
  4. For each user, enter User Name and credentials.
