Description

If a Cloud Agent is not provisioned correctly, it views itself as an older Agent and will not update. When you try to run a Solution associated with an improperly provisioned Agent, the following error message appears:

Agent Update Required
This version of the Agent does not support this operation. Please update your Agent. See Updating an Agent in the Scribe Online Help Center for more information.


To resolve this error, do the following:
 
  1. Remove the Cloud Agent from any Solutions. A replacement Agent needs to be set in the Solution. Because an Organization can only have one Cloud Agent, use an On-Premise Agent as a place holder.
  2. On the Agents page in Scribe Online, select the Gear menu for the Cloud Agent and select Delete. The Delete option is only enabled when the Agent is not used in any Solution.
  3. When you are prompted to confirm deleting the Agent, select OK.
  4. After the Cloud Agent is deleted, select the Add button and choose Cloud Agent.
  5. After the Agent Status states Agent running, select Solutions from the Menu bar.
  6. For each Solution that had a Cloud Agent selected, edit the Solution to change the Agent to the newly provisioned Cloud Agent.


The Solutions should run without any error messages. If any errors do occur, verify the Cloud Agent was provisioned properly by Scribe.
