Description

Issue:  I backed up the SCRIBEINTERNAL database from the TIBCO Scribe® Insight environment and restored the database to a new environment for testing.  When I run the Scribe InternalDB tool and test the connection to the Internal database, I receive a Database error similar to the following:

Error Number:  896
Description:  [37000] Cannot open database “SCRIBEINTERNAL” requested by the login.  The login failed.
Connection string Used: ‘Data Source =ScribeInternal_MS; User ID = SCRIBE; Password=**********’

Resolution:
  1. Run the following SQL script against the SCRIBEINTERNAL database:
ALTER USER Scribe WITH LOGIN = Scribe
  1. Run the InternalDB tool.  Continue with the process to test the connection and “Update Server Name”.  Reference Step 5 of online help section “Creating a New Scribe Insight Server” for instructions.
