Cannot See Custom Connector in TIBCO Scribe® Online

Description

Custom Connector does not display in Connection list or select Agent.
 

Cause: The Connector DLL tends to be blocked if the DLL’s are copied directly to the TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent folder, even if you unblock it via properties.

Resolution

  1. Download the Custom Connector to a folder (e.g desktop, downloads etc).
  2. Extract the DLL.
  3. Right-click the DLL and select Properties > Unblock.
  4. Stop the Scribe Agent Windows Service.
  5. Copy the DLL to the TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent installation folder in the correct Connector folder. The default installation location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Scribe Software\Scribe Online Agent\Connectors
  6. Restart the TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent.
  7. Ensure the DLL is still un-blocked.
  8. In TIBCO Scribe® Online log out and then log back in again.
  9. Click on the Connections page, select Add to add a Connection.
  10. In the Connection dialog, select the custom Connector.
