Spotfire Statistica | 13.4 and higher |
In Statistica tools|Options|Spreadsheets|Warnings there is a global option to turn on/off spreadsheet audit trail:
When enabled, this option will turn on the audit trail for all new spreadsheets at their creation time.
In an Enterprise install, this option is tied to the corresponding Enterprise|System Options|Spreadsheets for audit trail and only administrators can turn this on or off at the global level:
When enabled, non admin users cannot turn off the global option, nor can they turn it off for any particular spreadsheet.
When this global option is not set, any user can turn on or off the logging at the spreadsheet level via the dialog.
Also, spreadsheet Tools ribbon|Locking option makes it possible to lock and (optionally) password protect the locking settings for the audit trail such that no one may change the audit trail settings for a locked spreadsheet without first turning off the locking:
Resolution 1
1. Make sure that the option "Audit Trail" is OFF in Enterprise's system options.
2. Open Statistica with Admin user, create a spreadsheet, turn ON the audit trail and save the spreadsheet:
3. Quit Statistica, open it again with non-admin user, open the spreadsheet above and verify that audit trail option can be turned on or off:
4. Run the attached workspace with a simplified example of stopping the spreadsheet audit. Execution of the workspace should be successful.
Resolution 2
