In versions before Spotfire 10.x, you could replace data tables using "File > Replace Data Table" option. There is a change in this process with version 10.x and this article describes how to perform this operation in versions 10 and higher.

Resolution
In order to Replace Data Table in Spotfire version 10 follow the below steps. 
Note: If the new data table contains columns that match the columns in the old data table completely, the analysis is immediately updated to use the new data. However, if some columns used in the analysis could not be replaced automatically by columns in the new data table, you will need to match columns from the current data table with columns from the new data table.
- Click on the Data Canvas on the authoring bar .
- In the Data Canvas window choose the Data Table you wish to replace on the upper left corner.
- On the Data Canvas toolbar, click Replace button.
- Select the new source data using the search option under 'Files and data...' and click OK.
Note: If the new data table contains columns that match the columns in the old data table completely, the analysis is immediately updated to use the new data. However, if some columns used in the analysis could not be replaced automatically by columns in the new data table, you will need to match columns from the current data table with columns from the new data table.
