Description

After performing a migration to 10.2.X, when trying to access the Archives via Archive manager you get the following error  "the map "<map name> cannot be opened because it has either been used in a higher release of Tibco Nimbus, or is an old map that needs to be upgraded using the 10.2 data migration utility".

This is due to an issue with the migration Script that failed to migrate the archives correctly.

Issue/Introduction

Unable to open archives migrated from 10.1.x to 10.2.x with the following error "the map " cannot be opened because it has either been used in a higher release of Tibco Nimbus, or is an old map that needs to be upgraded using the 10.2 data migration utility"

Resolution

To correct this issue:

1. If this was a test migration, download and install 10.2.0HF6 and perform the migration again.

2. If the issue is with live, download  and install 10.2.0HF6 then perform the following actions:
 
  1. Backup the Process Repository
  2. Run AdminUtil.exe and log in
  3. Select Tools > Archive Post-Migration Fix
  4. Click Yes and wait for the fix to complete
  5. Test you are now able to open the Archives in the author Client
