Description

It may be needed to cancel the scheduled update of a report that is being cached by a File rule in Scheduled Updates. In this scenario, it is possible to cancel a currently loading report with the following method.

How to cancel the scheduled update of a currently loading analysis file

Resolution

To cancel a report that is currently being loaded by Scheduled Updates:
  1. Log in to Spotfire Server and click 'Scheduling & Routing'.
  2. Under the 'Activity' tab, and select the rule that is loading the file
  3. Click on the 'Cancel' button.
Note: SQL queries already being executed against a database may continue to run on the destination database, but the remaining report execution will be terminated. This 'Cancel' feature is available in Spotfire version 7.10 version and higher only.
