In versions before Spotfire 10, you could find if Spotfire is in "Online" or "Offline" mode,Server IP Address, Deployment Area, User and Server Build Information by hovering the mouse pointer over the "Online/Offline" field at the bottom left corner of Spotfire Analyst Client.

Resolution
In Spotfire version 10, there is a new icon in the main menu bar as shown in the screenshot here. Hovering the mouse pointer over this icon will display the user/server information.
