Description
MCAffee can sometimes lock Statistica files in the process of scanning, making it unavailable for Statistica processes. It is considered a best practice to create exceptions for Statistica temp files. Note:These steps may differ based on the version of McAffee. This is only a general guideline.
Resolution
1. Launch MCAffee Virus Scan console and double click on On-Access Scanner.
2. Click on Processes or Default Processes / Low Risk Processes and High Risk Processes depending on your options.
3. In the Exclusions tab, click on Exclusions.
4. Click on Add and select the Statistica temp file directory in the "By Name/location" section. If deemed necessary, also add the Statistica Installation folder
Alternatively/additionally, you may choose to make an exclusion by File type. Select File Type as STA (Statistica spreadsheet)
5. Click OK four times to close all open dialogs.
