Description

Getting the "Duplicate Member" error while starting the Adapter agent.

TIBCO-AFX-AGENT-500008: Adapter Agent transport listener failed to initialize, <CausedBy> TIBCO-AFX-AGENT-500007: Adapter Agent transport listener failed, <CausedBy> com.tibco.tibems.qin.TibQinInvalidMemberException: Duplicate member: "xxxxxxxxxx" in "xxxxxxxxxx".

Issue/Introduction

Adapter Agent is not coming up

Resolution

As per the above-mentioned logs member name, this is the name the adapter agent is identified with and it must be unique in an adapter admin cluster. Adapter agent fails to start if it is not unique.

To resolve this issue, modify the member name (memberName=xxxxxxxxxx) in the adapteragent.ini file and restart the adapter agent.
