MAS Task fails with error :" Getting options from qcp file [Runner:no auto update column and no sample if column specified:MAS requires on of these.] Error code:80004005."

 

This article describes the steps to be performed when yellow dashboard is seen with the error " Getting options from qcp file [Runner:no auto update column and no sample if column specified:MAS requires on of these.] Error code:80004005."

 The likely cause of this error, is as the error suggests - An auto update column was not defined in the dependent data configuration. MAS needs a column to be defined as "Auto update" column based on which it can determine if the alarms are new/old. To resolve the issue:

 1.  Determine from the dependent task of the taskset, which data configuration is being pointed to. Click on locate to identify the data configuration folder, if necessary.

    

2.  Expand the columns retrieved by the data configuration and set either a time/date field or sample id/batch id field to be a first Auto Update column. Commit the changes.

  

3. Run the taskset via MAS to verify the dashboard isn't yellow anymore.
