Description
When checking the monitoring screen page 5 you may notice that syslog messages are being collected but some are being filtered. This means that not all messages from the syslog server are being forwarded downstream.

When checking the monitoring screen page 5 you may notice that syslog messages are being collected but some are being filtered.
Resolution
By default the Universal Collector syslog collector will filter out debug level messages (Severity 7). In order to collect these events you will need to enable filtering and set the maximum severity to 7 as shown below:
