On a SDMS enabled environment, a user may see the below error from Enterprise manager : Authentication failed: HRESULT :80131501 Description : SOAP Server Application Faulted. SDMS Error information HRESULT :800706bf Description : Failed to open database
or from Data Entry observe "An unexpected error occurred in Populate Tree" HRRESULT: 80131501 Description : Failed to open database

Resolution
This error indicates that the database SDMS is pointing to is either down or inaccessible . Verify that the SDMS Meta database is accessible to the client seeing the error.
