SQL Server options needed for STATISTICA Enterprise installation
Resolution
1) Make sure SQL Server allows remote connections.
In SQL Server Management Studio, right-click on main database server node and select Properties:
In the Connections section, select “Allow remote connections to this server”:
2) If firewall is on, set rule to allow incoming traffic on the TCP/IP port used by SQL Server (port 1433).
Open Windows firewall. Click “Advanced Settings”:
Select “Inbound Rules” on the left, and “New Rule” on the right:
Rule Type = Port:
Click Next.
Select “TCP/IP” and “Specific local port” = 1433:
Click Next.
Select “Allow the connection”:
Click Next.
Typically, only the “Domain” is applicable:
Click Next.
Name the rule:
Click Finish.
