Description
When using the Statistica Extension for Spotfire, you may run into the error " Statistica Data Function creation failed: The type initializer for 'Statistica.Engine.Sta' threw an exception. Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID{xyz} from the IclassFactory failed due to the following error : 80040112 Class is not licensed for use(Exception from HRESULT :0x80040112). "
The error is caused by a Statistica licensing error. The Statistica license file needs to have the LIBS feature added to it.

Environment
Windows operating system only, Windows Server 2008 R2 (Windows 7) and above for Statistica installs.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, obtain the stat.lic file How to find the Statistica license file (stat.lic). Send it to TIBCO support (and reference this KB article number) so they can add the LIBS feature and resign the license file.
