Description

We do not recommend using a file cache, especially in Production. For caching, a database needs to be used (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server). A file cache is significantly more inefficient than a database cache. Furthermore, a file cache performs a lot of writes to disk, which makes it subject to disk errors (e.g. NFS issues, disk space issues). A disk-related issue could corrupt the cache.
