Description: The error, 'DoRegisterTypeLib' Return='1603'... occurs during Statistica installation.
Cause: Further inspection of the install log is in order. Most likely the issue is related to installation of the XML Parser package from Microsoft.
Environment
Windows operating systems only.
Resolution
1. Quit any current installation attempt and restart the PC.
2. Download and install the XML Parser package manually by clicking here.
3. Close any open programs.
4. Temporarily turn off any running anti-virus protection programs.
5. Temporarily turn off UAC (Vista and above) by clicking here.
6. Attempt the Statistica installation again.

If installation continues to fail after following the steps above, create a support case here. Please attach the STATMSI.log (the installer log file) to the case. Start | Run and type %temp%. In the temp folder, find STATMSI.log (for Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, or Windows Server 2016, type %temp% in the search box on the Start screen).
