Description

The Spotfire analysis file that uses a Data Connector to query data which does not open. While the analysis file is loading data, you get a time out due to an SQL error condition. For example, this could be due to updates on the data source side and an increase in data has caused a SQL error. This article explains how to update the data connection.

Important: This is only possible if the Data Connection is saved in a Spotfire library.

Resolution

If the data connector is saved on the Spotfire library you can update the SQL:
  1. In a TIBCO Spotfire client go to Tools > Manage Data Connections.
  2. Navigate to your data connector saved in the library.
  3. Right click on the connector and select "Edit Data Connections...".
  4. In the new dialog, click the "Edit" button and correct the data connection accordingly.
