Description
This article details how the port that WebStatistica (and Data Entry) listen on can be changed. This is done mostly if port 80 is already being used by another application (for instance, Spotfire). For the purpose of this article, we'll be using port 81 as the new port.
Resolution
1. Remote into the Application Server (Webstatistica /Data Entry) as an adminstrator
2. Open IIS configuration Manager from Control Panel and right click on Default Website and then click on Edit Bindings. Click on http and Edit and change the value to 81.

3. Launch Webstatistica/Data entry as : http://[servername]:81/Webstatistica/ or http://[servername]:81/dataentry
Note : If there is an SDMS server on the same server, modify all the SDMS clients to point to port 81 In SDMS clients, click
no on the integrated login prompt and then click Options | Manage : Modify the URL to port 81 :
http://[Servername]:81/SDMS/SDMSSOAPServer.dll?Handler=Default
Launch Enterprise Manager as System Admin (SADM) and change System Options | SDMS integration, change the URL to have port 81 with the URL format fore mentioned.

Note : There is no configuration that will allow for the Statistica thick client to communicate with the changed listening port for Statistica server. This enhancement will be added in upcoming releases.
