Description
A newly installed Spotfire Desktop Client crashes upon launch, with the following errors:

Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException Stack: at Starter.Program+ProgramLoaderWrapper.Execute(System.String, System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2<System.String,System.Object>, System.String[], System.Object, System.Version, System.Collections.Generic.IList`1<System.String>, System.String) at Starter.Program.Run(Spotfire.Dxp.Starter.StarterSplashWrapper, System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2<System.String,System.Object>) at Starter.Program.ExecuteRunLoopWithBootstrapFlag(System.String[], Boolean) at Starter.Program.Main(System.String[])

One of the reasons for this issue is because of corrupted installation files. Please follow the steps below:
1). Uninstall Spotfire.
2). Delete all the contents in the Settings folder of C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\TIBCO\Spotfire\x.x .This is typically located under the C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\TIBCO) folders. Note that the AppData folder is a hidden folder. This location may be different based on how Spotfire is installed at your location.
3). Delete the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\TIBCO\Spotfire
4). Delete files from the following folders:
C:\Windows\Temp
C:\Users\YOUR-USER\AppData\Local\Temp
5). Reinstall Spotfire.
