When working in a workspace, you usually need select variables for your analysis. Most of the newer analysis will have the variable selection as a node parameter. However, if there is a need to use an older SVB node, you may need to select variables using the variable selection node. Adding the select variables node to the workspace is detailed below.

 

One of the following methods can be used to add the Select variables node into the workspace : 
Method 1:

1. When the workspace is active, click "Node Browser" on the workspace menu bar

2. Under All Validated Procedures of the node browser dialog, select Data|Variables and double click the "Select variables" node from the listed nodes on the right side panel

Method 2:

 1. When the workspace is active, select Data tab in the ribbon bar

2. Click the Variables | "Select Variables"  in the drop-down list.

Method 3:

    1. When the workspace is active, type "Select Variables"  in the feature finder available at the top right of Statistica menu bar to search for this node
