Description

When attempting to run the TIBCO iProcess Engine (iPE) on  Microsoft Windows Server, it does not start and the following error logs in the sw_warn.log file "1898-MSIEL PubSub - Function: iel_msq_publish_event, Error Message: Failed to publish event: 0x800706bb"

All supported TIBCO iProcess Engine (SQL) Software versions TIBCO iProcess Engine (Oracle) for Windows

Resolution


You may see this error if there is an incorrect value in the IEL_EVENT_SERVER registry key. 

To verify, check the value of the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Staffware plc\StaffwareServer\Nodes\<NodeName>

If this is a single node setup, make sure the value of IEL_EVENT_SERVER registry key is blank, or if this is a Master/Slave setup, set the value as the machine name of the Master server.
