Resolution:
In case you are just interested in the getting the Event IDs, you can take a look at Event Log in CIM UI and search for events with STATUS = 'In Progress'. Similarly you can also query EVENT table to get the Event IDs for the workflow that in progress:
SELECT ID from EVENT where STATUS = 'INPROGRESS';
