TIBCO Designer opens with the error : "The resource with the following resource type could not be deserialized: ae.process.procdefn".
Symptoms:
Error : "The resource with the following resource type could not be deserialized: ae.process.procdefn".
Cause:
The issue is with the custom palette that is created and added to Designer. If the custom palette has some problem and is added to Designer, then Designer will throw the error while opening or creating a new project upon startup.
Resolution
Make a backup and delete the custom_palettes directory from the .TIBCO Folder found under the <user_home>/.TIBCO/custom_palettes .
