Resolution:
On HP-UX 11.0 the default system thread settings are too low for most Java applications. The kernel parameter max_thread_proc by default is set to 64. This parameter should be set to 256 or higher depending upon the number of concurrent transactions you expect TIBCO BusinessConnect or it's related protocol plugins (e.g. BC EDI) to process.
