Description:
TIBCO Designer does not launch in Windows VM running on MAC OS VM Fusion software. no Designer logs or console are generated.
Symptoms:
TIBCO Designer fails to launch.
Cause:
TIBCO Designer, when launched, needs access to create logs under USER_HOME/.TIBCO/logs folder. When using Windows VM on Mac OS Fusion software and selecting to mirror the folder from the Host OS (Mac) to the Guest OS (Windows), TIBCO Designer does not have permission to create logs and fails to launch TIBCO Designer .
Resolution
Deselect the Mirrored Folder option on the Fusion Software setting (see attached screenshot FusionMirroredFoldersOption.)
