Resolution:
GridServer 3.2 has been tested and is now supported on some newer Linux distributions. GridServer 3.2 will be supported on RedHat 9, RedHat Enterprise Linux 3, and SUSE 8.x with the following pre-requisites:

RedHat 9: the compat-libstdc++ RPM must be installed.

SUSE 8.x: the compat RPM must be installed.

RHEL 3: the compat-libstdc++ RPM must be installed and you must use Sun JVM 1.4.2; a repackaged Sun JVM 1.4.2 for the Engine can be obtained on request from the DataSynapse support engineering team.
