Description:

When performing a migration of the TIBCO Service Gateway for CICS to 5.2, if long dataset prefixes are specified then the length of the data stored by the migration process and held in &ltHLQ>.V5R2M0.DIST.INSTALL(HLQINFO) may exceed the maximum 80 bytes of data supported. This will cause install options data to be truncated and may result in in appropriate processing and/or failure of the migration process.


Environment:

* z/OS operating system
* migration of TIBCO Service Gateway for CICS to release 5.2
* use of long high level prefixes for dataset names

Symptoms:
=========
Migration step 1 "Execute File Tailoring EXEC to start installation" as documented in the "TIBCO® Object Service Broker for z/OS Installing and Operating 5.2 August 2010" manual, page 93 may fail with the message
  "Change status of S6A4ACPT in member JOBSA to INSTALL"
even though the base FMID S6BOB52 has been ACCEPTed as verified by the SMP/E report:

Cause:
=====
Lengthy high level dataset prefix specifications may cause the install options in  &ltHLQ>.V5R2M0.DIST.INSTALL(HLQINFO) to be truncated, resulting in inappropriate migration processing.

Resolution:
=========
Contact TIBCO Support and ask for the workaround or resolution for problem report SGCI-9.
