I have installed Designer and File adapter; when Designer starts up, I cannot see the File Adapter palette within the Palette Panel.

Resolution:
Check the following in the designer.tra (in the designer bin directory).
1. Find the entry 'java.property.palettePath'
2. Make sure that the following entry is there:
<File Adapter installation directory>/lib/palettes
3. Please also make sure that if more than one palette is listed, that they are separated by a semicolon ( ; ).
Also ensure the Designer has been configured to show the Palettes. To do this, start Designer and go to the Edit menu and select Preferences->Palettes.
On the resulting Dialog Box you should see a list of palettes, select the File Adapter palette and in the 'Category Type' list below ensure that the 'Show Palette' CheckBox is selected ('ticked'). Click on the Ok button and check Palettes panel to see if the File Adapter Palette appears.
