Before software release 5.1.5, TIBCO EMS Client for IBM i/OS could not be installed multiple times on the same system. It is now possible to install the current software release alongside previous releases.

Environment:

1. TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS) Client library – 5.1.5
2. IBM i5/OS
3. IBM AS/400

If previous versions of TIBCO EMS Client for IBM i/OS have been installed on the system, either the previous releases of the product can be deleted or the new release can be installed in its own library. If the current release has already been installed and the requirement is to delete a previous release, the operation should be release-qualified.

Identifying Previous Installations:

If TIBCO EMS Client for IBM i/OS has been previously installed on the system, information about the existing installations can be obtained by executing the command DSPSFWRSC.

You may now elect to either delete the previous releases of the product or install the new release in its own library. To install the new release in a separate library see "EMS Client for IBM iInstallation and Reference"=> Installing the Software=&gtMultiple Installations.

Deleting Previous Installations:

To delete a previous installation of TIBCO EMS Client for IBM i/OS, execute the DLTLICPGM command specifying the resource ID for the installation to be removed.
