Resolution:
XML Canon should run on 64-bit Linux platform as long as you use a 32-bit JVM.
Please also note that XML Canon support for Linux is based on the kernel and glibc. XML Canon 3.1.1 is compatible with Linux kernel 2.6 and glibc 2.4.
