Description

Publish service fails to connect to Microsoft Active Directory Server when TIBCO Adapter for LDAP 5.4 running on non-Windows platform

Symptoms
=========
The publish service connection to Active Directory Server from the adapter running on any non-Windows platform fails and the following error occurs:
AELDAP-00017: Cannot run the service pub_rvcmAgent (or pub_jmsAgent) on non windows platform against Active Directory Server

Environment
==========
TIBCO Adapter for LDAP 5.4.0
All Supported Non-Windows Platforms

Cause
=====
This error is due to an issue withan API that the adapter uses.

Workaround
==========
None.  The Publish service connection needs to be run on a supported Windows platform

Resolution
========
A resolution to this issue is under investigation
