Description:
When doing an upgrade to BusinessConnect 5.X or any of the associated protocols (EDI, RosettaNet, or SOAP), some customers have reported improper installation and operation of BC and/or the associated protocols.
To avoid this problem, we strongly recommend you stop and restart the domain Hawk agent (hawkagent_<domain_name>.cmd or its Unix equivalent) on the domain where BusinessConnect and its protocols are installed after your upgrade process is finished. This will ensure that the Hawk Agent is preloaded with the correct BusinessConnect and protocol information.
You can verify that the upgrade has been done successfully by opening the Administrator and going to Application Management>All Service Instances>(domain_name) - TIBCO Administrator. Click on the hyperlink, and go to the Plugins tab, and verify that the correct software is installed.
Failure to do may cause BC or the associated protocols to operate incorrectly once the BC Server application is started.
