Resolution:
You will see this problem if the installer is not able to locate and spawn the RV daemon (rvd or rvd.exe). Most of the time, this is because the rvd binary/executable has been renamed (for instance to prevent the RV applications from auto restarting the daemon).

To workaround this problem, you should take the necessary steps to allow the installer to find and execute the daemon. This can be done by renaming the altered rvd (or rvd.exe) to its original file name or copying it back to this original name: rvd (or rvd.exe on windows OSes)
