Description:
When installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix ("AMX") 3.3.0 under an existing 3.2.0 TIBCO_HOME, the installation fails with the stack trace shown in the Symptoms section.

Symptoms:

Cause:
The problem is seen when attempting to upgrade the "Design Time" profile, which is not a supported. In the Installation Guide (Filename:TIB_amsg_3.3.0_installation.pdf), it explicitly states,

"Before you start installation, you must make sure your environment meets the installation requirements, and you must perform pre-installation tasks. You cannot install TIBCO Business Studio 3.3.0 on an earlier version of ActiveMatrix."
