Resolution:
A new feature as of TIBCO InConcert 6.2 which is not in the release notes is the ability to
pick theTIBCO InConcert server software compatible with the database version you have.
Where before you had upgrade with the existing database in place, for instance
8i, and then upgrade the database later and do a dummy install; that is not
necessary in the current software.

You have the opportunity to upgrade the IC server software at the same time
you do the upgrade.  You are given the chance to pick the version of the
database the software should be compatible with.  Search the documentation for
upgrade and look in the installation guide for a picture.

So the correct procedure for upgrading if TIBCO InConcert is 6.2 or above is to 1) upgrade the
database, change the path of lib path to point to the new version of the
Oracle client and then pick the new database version when doing the TIBCO InConcert
upgrade.

NOTE: The ability to choose the database software version only came in existaence in the 6.2
release.  To use the upgradder InConcert 6.2 you must be at or above the 5.1.2 TIBCO InConcert
version.
