Description:
TIBCO Administrator 5.6.0 now supports Oracle 11g Release 1 (11.1.x.x) (Standard Edition, Standard Edition One and Enterprise Edition) when used as the database for an administration domain.
 
Limitations and Restrictions:
============================
When using Oracle 11g Release 1 for purposes other than an administration domain, verify that higher level products, such as TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks(TM), also support Oracle 11g Release 1.
 
Installation Steps:
===================
See "TIBCO Administrator Installation" document for installation information. There is no change in the installation steps when using Oracle 11g Release 1 as the database for an administration domain.
 
Supported Drivers:
======================
The following drivers are supported for Oracle 11g Release 1 with TIBCO Administrator 5.6.0:
* Oracle 11g Release 1 thin driver
* Oracle 11g Release 1 OCI driver
* TIBCO provided Oracle driver (DataDirect Oracle driver version 3.7)
 
The following driver configurations have been tested:
* Oracle Database 11g with Oracle 11g thin driver
* Oracle Database 11g with Oracle 11g OCI driver
* Oracle Database 11g with TIBCO (DataDirect) driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with Oracle 11g thin driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with Oracle 11g OCI driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with TIBCO (DataDirect) driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with Oracle 11g OCI driver and TAF (Transparent Application Failover)
 
Known Issues:

Summary: When starting an admin service that is based on the Oracle 11g RAC thin or thick driver, the following exception is thrown:

"SEVERE: Error while registering Oracle JDBC Diagnosability MBean.
javax.management.MalformedObjectNameException: Invalid character '' in value part of property"

Workaround: None. The exception can be ignored. It has no impact on administration domain functionality.
