Description:
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid(TM) 2.1.0 now supports
* Oracle RAC 10g Release 1 (10.1.x.x) and Release 2 (10.2.x.x)
* Oracle RAC 11g Release 1 (11.1.x.x)
when used as the TIBCO ActiveMatrix database and JDBC resource for services.


Limitations and Restrictions:
============================
* This support statement is applicable to TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid. For other products - such as TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks or TIBCO ActiveMatrix Policy Manager - please refer to explicit support statements as applicable to these products.

* As per Oracle RAC capability, with database INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE/SELECT statements, the user/service will have to re-execute the statement after a fail-over has occured.

* During runtime, a Service Assembly using JDBC shared resources will have to programmatically catch the Oracle exception and handle the failed database instructions.


Installation Steps:

See "TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid Installation" and "TIBCO ActiveMatrix Administration" documents for installation information. There is no change in the installation steps.


Supported Drivers:
======================
We support using Oracle RAC with the following drivers:
- TIBCO provided Oracle driver (DataDirect Oracle driver) as shipped with TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid 2.1.0
- Oracle Thin Driver (available from Oracle)
