Description:
TIBCO Adapter for Clarify 5.3.0 now supports TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2, in addition to the currently supported TRA versions listed in the product documentation.  The only TRA features supported by the adapter are those included in the documentation for TIBCO  Adapter for Clarify 5.3.0

Limitation and Restrictions:

Please refer to the TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2 documentation for supported versions of TIBCO Administrator (see LBN1-9DNP7O).

TIBCO Adapter for Clarify 5.3.0 only supports JRE 1.5.0 with TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2.

64-bit TRA is required on HP Itanium platform, because Clarify Adapter 5.3.0 is a 64-bit application on HP Itanium. On all supported platforms, except HP Itanium, Clarify Adapter 5.3.0 is supported with either 32-bit or 64-bit TRA packages.

In order to run the adapter with the 64-bit TRA package (which uses the 64-bit JVM), a workaround must be implemented. The workaround is described below, under Known Issues.

Configuration:
============
No adapter configuration changes are required to use TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 and TRA 5.6.2.

Known Issues:
============
TIBCO Adapter for Clarify 5.3.0 fails to start with TRA 64-bit.

Symptoms:
===========
After installing the 64-bit TRA 5.6.0, TRA 5.6.1 or TRA 5.6.2, TIBCO Adapter for Clarify will not start up and gives the following error:

“Failed to load shared library, library name: /tibco/jre/1.5.0/bin/classic/libjvm”

Impact:
======
Loss of Functionality. Adapter does not start.

Cause:
======
The adapter to run with a 64-bit TRA would require 64-bit libraries.

Workaround:
==========
Follow these steps:
1. Remove the adapter executable (say ‘adclycrm’) from TIBCO_HOME/adapter/adclycrm/5.3/bin
2. Copy TIBCO_HOME/tra/5.6/bin/wrap64 to TIBCO_HOME/adapter/adclycrm/5.3/bin, and rename wrap64 to adclycrm
3. Open the TIBCO_HOME/adapter/adclycrm/5.3/bin/adclycrm.tra file and modify the tibco.env.CUSTOM_LIB_PATH variable to &ltRV_HOME>/lib/64.
