Description:
Newer versions of z/OS 2.1 and 2.2 appear to have a version of the SNAP
svc, IGC0005A that exposes a preexisting bug in OSB code.
Symptoms:
If the taking of a non destructive diagnostic dump fails, we try to take a SNAP dump. The SNAP fails with an S0C4 abend SVC 51, IGC0005A, and brings down the Data Object
Broker.
Cause:
A recent change to SVC 51 appears to be less tolerant of a coding error in our use of the SNAP macro.
Resolution
Apply hotfix 17, and specifically PTF AP14105.
