Resolution:
BusinessWorks can easily integrate with ActivePortal through a number of methods.

1. SOAP Category can invoke Web Services to retrieve information. This category uses Web Service standards like WSIL, WSDL and SOAP.
2. The BusinessWorks Category is a quick and convenient way of integrating BW and PB. Currently, you need only specify the BW Engine's Hostname and Port where the Web Service is located. See KB102824. Technically this category is the same as the SOAP Category.
3. TIBCO Rendezvous.
4. HTTP.

Options 1 & 2 are the recommended methods, as BusinessWorks can provide Web Services that allow Portal users to access information or processes that reside in back-end enterprise systems.
